Summary
We are looking for a technically minded and analytically driven Senior Technology & Market Analyst to join our Operations team and take ownership of two critical functions: cost modelling and technology/market analysis. You’ll work across the full battery value chain from raw materials through to OEMs assessing trends, refining cost models, and supporting product development and strategic decision-making.
This role would suit an engineer or technologist who is curious, commercially aware, and excited by the opportunity to connect technical data with market needs. A strong command of Excel and data tools is key, and familiarity with the battery landscape is highly desirable.
You’ll work closely with commercial, technical, and finance teams, attend industry events, and play a vital role in shaping how Anaphite’s technology evolves in response to global battery trends.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Refine and expand existing cost models for assessing the viability of Anaphite’s technology
* Provide comparative cost analyses against customer alternatives
* Validate model inputs across technical, finance, and commercial functions
* Monitor lithium-ion battery trends and emerging cell chemistries
* Track upstream supply chain and raw material pricing
* Attend and report back from conferences, synthesising insights for leadership
* Conduct patent searches and competitor tech reviews
* Translate insights into actionable product development and R&D recommendations
* Support the Commercial team with market segmentation, pricing, and technical target setting
Required Proficiencies/Experience
Essential:
* Background in engineering, physical sciences, or a related technical field
* Technically curious, commercially aware, and cross-functionally fluent
* Strong analytical and modelling skills
* High proficiency in Excel and other data tools
* Comfortable attending events and making new connections
* BSc/BEng in a relevant subject
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Desirable:
* Experience in battery manufacturing or materials processing
* Experience with cost structures or techno-economic analysis
* Familiarity with the competitive landscape of battery tech and supply chains

* Base Salary: £47,817 - £58,685 annually depending on experience
