Food Services Manager

Responsible for managing daily operations, budgeting, marketing, staff training, inventory management, and ensuring health and safety compliance for Marble Slab Creamery.


Job Details

* Location: 1455 Ellis Street suite 110, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2A3
* Work location: On site
* Salary: $27.69 to $40.00 per hour (to be negotiated) / 35 hours per week
* Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
* Start date: As soon as possible
* Vacancies: 1


Education

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience


Experience

* 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities

* Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
* Evaluate daily operations
* Plan and organize daily operations
* Train staff
* Organize and maintain inventory
* Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
* Participate in marketing plans and implementation
* Provide customer service
* Develop and implement marketing strategies
* Determine merchandise and services to be sold
* Manage staff and assign duties
* Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
* Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
* Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
* Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
* Direct and control daily operations

* Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
* Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
* Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
* Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers


Supports for Visible Minorities

* Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
