We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist vehicle solutions company based in Dartford, who are seeking an experienced Auto Engineer with a strong background in HGV and lorry electronics.
This is not a traditional mechanical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing electronic and software systems installed in heavy goods vehicles.
The Role
* Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults on HGVs and lorries
* Servicing and maintaining onboard electronic systems
* Working with vehicle control modules and software systems
* Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
* Repairing wiring systems and electrical components
* Supporting installation and configuration of electronic vehicle systems
About You
* Experience working with HGVs, lorries or commercial vehicles
* Strong background in vehicle electronics and diagnostics
* Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
* Comfortable working with software-based vehicle systems
* Auto electrical qualifications or relevant technical training desirable
* Full UK driving licence
