We are looking for a Materials Handler to join our Christchurch, Dorset team! In this role you will be working to implement, maintain and promote the safe handling, storage, and identification of goods in accordance with relevant procedures, and particularly those associated with electrostatic sensitive devices. Location: Christchurch, Dorset We Take Care of Our People Work-life balance through our Hybrid working, flexitime program and condensed work week (role dependent) I Paid Time Off I Retirement with Employer Match I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Competitive Pay I Bonus Scheme I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan (https://curtisswright.com/investor-relations/overview/default.aspx) I Inclusive & Supportive Culture (https://careers.curtisswright.com/en/who-we-are/) Your Challenge: - Comply with all Company and personal Health and Safety requirements. - Comply with all Quality Management System requirements. - Maintain a high level of Stores housekeeping. - Provide support for all functions within the Materials Handling Department. - Provide a proactive and rapid stores issue, receipt and related query resolution - service. - When required, unpack and 'book in' goods within 1 working day from receipt. - Support the inventory-checking program, which may include full physical stock checks, in order to maintain inventory accuracy. - Ensure inventory integrity is maintained to defined levels. - Process stores receipts and promptly process return of rejected goods. - Ensure kitting accuracy to defined levels. - Carry out packing and dispatch processes for all goods as required to ensure same-day dispatch. - Collect and deliver materials when required using Company vehicles. - Distribute incoming/outgoing mail promptly. What You Bring - Ideally have experience in a Stores related role, a basic understanding of stores, packing and manufacturing operations and the ability to demonstrate competence to successfully carry out the requirements of the role. - Computer literate with a basic working knowledge of Word and Excel would be advantageous. We also supply operator controls and advanced motor controllers for hybrid and electric vehicles, such as buses, forklift trucks, pallet stackers, wheelchairs, and rehabilitation chairs.
