Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Agricultural Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. We encourage applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be considered. The role involves maintenance, servicing, and repair of modern agricultural equipment, providing high-quality technical support and on-site service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair agricultural machinery, including tractors and combines, per manufacturer specifications.
* Perform a mix of workshop tasks and on-site service work, traveling to customer locations for diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
* Install and demonstrate machinery to end users when required.
* Collaborate with workshop and service management to meet deadlines.
* Travel locally to service and repair equipment (full driving license required).
* Ensure all work complies with safety and performance standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Level 3 qualification in Land-Based Engineering or equivalent (e.g., HGV, Plant, or Construction sectors).
* Experience with agricultural machinery is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
* Ability to troubleshoot independently and under pressure.
* Open to ongoing professional development and manufacturer training.
