Deputy Home Manager – HC‑One, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom
About the role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the level of clinical care we offer exceeds professional standards and statutory, regulatory and legal requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to deliver a service defined by empathy for resident issues.
About you
We are looking for a Deputy Home Manager who holds a valid NMC PIN, demonstrates knowledge of National Standards and the NMC code of practice, and has experience in person‑centred care planning within a care home. Beyond technical qualifications, you will bring a bright, positive energy and the natural ability to connect with people, mentor effectively, manage your time, keep meaningful records and communicate with kindness and respect. You will also be able to recognise signs of abuse or neglect, complete safeguarding training, seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, when necessary, apply escalation procedures.
