Job Purpose: The Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to support the education and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role involves providing tailored support to individual students or small groups, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, and assisting in the personal and academic development of students. Key Responsibilities: Support for Learning: Assist in the delivery of lessons, ensuring that students are engaged and learning effectively. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with tasks, instructions, and ensuring they understand the lesson content. Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students. Classroom Management: Help to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies. Encourage students to take part in class activities and offer additional support when needed. Personal Care and Well-being Support: Provide personal care support for students, including assistance with mobility, feeding, or any other specific care requirements. Ensure the health and safety of all students, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff members.
