Senior Event Manager - Major Events - Glasgow HQ & On Site
Our Major Events team produces some of Scotland’s largest and most creative live experiences, welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests every year. Alongside delivering flagship events at scale, we are constantly developing new immersive concepts that push the boundaries of live entertainment.
Every event we deliver also supports the communities around it. Through ticket donations, partnerships and charitable initiatives we contribute tens of thousands of pounds each year to local charities and community organisations.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Event Manager to play a key leadership role in the operational planning and delivery of our major events.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who thrives in live environments and wants to help deliver world‑class experiences at scale.
The Role
Working alongside the Head of Events and senior leadership team, you will help lead the delivery of complex large‑scale events supported by a substantial team across production, marketing, commercial and operations.
You will take ownership of operational planning and live site delivery across our major events, ensuring every event is safe, compliant and ready to deliver an exceptional audience experience.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone with proven experience delivering large‑scale outdoor events, leading operational teams and managing complex live environments.
Based in our Glasgow HQ outside live event periods, the role includes significant on‑site leadership during build, live and de‑rig.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead operational planning and health and safety strategy for major outdoor events
* Develop Event Management Plans and key safety documentation
* Ensure planning meets legislative, licensing and best‑practice requirements
Regulatory & Compliance
* Lead regulatory compliance across major events
* Liaise with local authorities, licensing teams and emergency services
* Lead inspections, audits and safety reviews
* Act as the senior operational presence on site
* Lead operational delivery during build, live days and de‑rig
* Oversee site opening, briefings and shutdown procedures
* Recruit, lead and develop operational teams alongside our People team
* Lead stewarding and event operations teams on site
* Manage incident response, decision‑making and post‑event review
* Work closely with production, marketing, commercial and venue teams
* Contribute operational insight to new immersive event concepts

Salary & Benefits
* Salary - £40k - £45k plus a range of benefits including private healthcare, annual company bonus (dependent on performance), itison discounts and more.
