JOB TITLE: Cleaning and Landscape Operative LOCATION: Inshes Retail Park WORKING HOURS: 24 hours per week, Temporary role SHIFT PATTERN: Sunday - Wednesday (4 out of 7 days) PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE Your role will be to deliver cleaning services to client facilities in and around the retail park to a high standard. Litter picking, maintaining pathways, sweeping, waste management, spot cleaning glass doors/windows, clean all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, pressure washing, hedge cutting, weeding, grass cutting and general maintenance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • General cleaning and some landscape duties on an external environment, road, and car parks • Your duties will involve being a helpful point of contact for customers who need assistance • Being watchful for health and safety issues and to report them to the management team • Ensuring that the cleaning/maintenance checks & site-specific compliances are adhered to • Keeping the site safe, clean & welcoming towards our client & customers • Being an excellent ABM brand ambassador • Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes. • Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding. • Waters plants and lawns and adds fertilizer as needed. • Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed. • Builds and renovates stone pathways, patios, and ledges. • Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles. • Drives work vehicles around sites • Adheres to all RAMS and H&S guidelines REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Cleaner/Maintenance service experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable) • Good inter-personal and communication skills • Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks • Ability to work alone and as part of a team • Approachable and courteous manner • Excellent attention to detail within cleaning/maintenance responsibilities • The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business Benefits We’re proud to offer a great range of benefits including: 24/7 GP: Both you and your immediate family can speak to a UK-based GP from the comfort of your own home Mental Health support and Life Event Counseling Get Fit Programme Financial and legal support Cycle to work scheme Access Perks at Work, our innovative employee app where you can find: Perks: discounts, gift cards, cashback, and exclusive offers Life: Search for resources and tools on topics ranging from family and life to health, money and work Support: Online chat or telephone service for urgent support in a crisis For more information about ABM’s benefits, visit our About ABM: ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
