Job Description:
A leading East London based social housing developer is seeking a recently qualified architect to join their new in-house design team. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual looking to transition from traditional architecture into a client-side role, working directly with a developer committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable homes for London.
This role will report to a Senior Architect who is being hired in parallel to this opportunity, an exciting time as the developer grows their in-house design team.
Key Requirements:
* ARB registered with 0–3 years post-Part III experience
* Proficient in Revit
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK Building Safety Regulations and fire safety standards
* Demonstrated experience working on tall residential buildings
* Exposure to construction sites and understanding of the build process
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proactive with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently
* Confident working in multidisciplinary teams and liaising with external consultants
* The right to work in the UK
Role Responsibilities:
* Drafting and developing technical drawings and documentation in Revit
* Coordinating design input from architects, engineers, and specialist consultants
* Working closely with contractors to ensure design intent is delivered on site
* Identifying and resolving design and construction issues efficiently
* Ensuring compliance with building safety and fire safety standards throughout the project lifecycle
* Supporting the development of high-rise residential schemes from design through delivery
* Attending site meetings and providing technical input during construction phases
