HGV Fitter
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Fitter to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton, on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGV vehicles, ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence and roadworthiness requirements.
Working times:
Monday - Friday: 7:30am – 5:pm
Salary:
£46,800 per annum

Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Fitter:
* Repair, maintain, and service all HGV vehicles and associated plant equipment
* Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner
* Prepare vehicles for annual tests and conduct road tests
* Complete all required documentation accurately and maintain detailed records
* Record and report vehicle damages and defects
* Ensure inspections are completed within specified timeframes
* Work in full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
Essential skills:
To be successful as a HGV FITTER, you will need:
* Strong knowledge and experience working with HGVs and associated accessories
* IRTEC certification – essential
* NVQ qualification preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of Safe Loading and Working Devices
* HGV licence preferred but not essential
* Ability to service, diagnose, and repair specialist equipment
Training:
Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support.
