Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Salisbury to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for a September 2025 start. This is a long-term position with the strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with relevant experience in youth or educational settings, this role offers a rewarding path forward.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Working with students aged 11 to 16 across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons in a variety of subjects. Your primary focus will be to ensure that students remain engaged, behave appropriately, and continue their learning in a structured environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
* Delivering lesson content prepared by the subject teacher across a range of subjects, including core areas like Maths, English, and Science, as well as Humanities and other subjects.
* Managing classroom behaviour and applying school policies to ensure a calm and productive learning environment.
* Supporting students with their learning when appropriate and answering questions related to the lesson content.
* Reporting back to teaching staff regarding student engagement, behaviour, and any notable incidents.
