We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Planner to join a high-profile project within a highly regulated environment. Working onsite in Reading, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and business rhythms.
* Job Title: Nuclear Senior Planner
* Location: Reading - 5x a week
* Contract Length: 18 Months
* Rate: Up to £49.95 Inside IR35
* Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS/CBS).
* Manage the monthly update cycle, incorporating changes and ensuring accurate reporting alongside applying change control processes and conduct "what-if" scenario planning.
* Utilise network logic, float paths, and resource levelling to ensure project deliverables are met.
* Support Earned Value Management (EVM) processes where applicable.
* Liaise with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication of schedule impacts and progress.
* Produce accurate and timely reports, highlighting risks, delays, and opportunities and Work closely with project teams to ensure plans are realistic, deliverable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 2-5 years' experience in project planning and Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Experience with network logic, float paths, WBS/CBS creation, resource levelling, fragnets, and analysis with a strong understanding of the Planner responsibilities in a highly regulated environment.
* Ability to meet deadlines and adapt schedules accordingly to ensure all works are correctly prioritised to achieve delivery in a timely manner.
* Experience in highly regulated sectors (nuclear, oil & gas, or construction) and Previous public sector experience.
