About You As a Porter within the accommodation team, you’ll support the cleaning team to ensure holiday homes are prepared to the highest standards. You’ll play a key role in helping turn around guest accommodation quickly and efficiently so guests holidays can start without a hitch. You’ll enjoy working in a hands-on role and you’ll play your part, by not just assisting the cleaning team when necessary but by primarily ensuring the team have everything, they need to prepare each caravan for guest arrival. You’ll be delivering linen and inventory which means lots of lifting and transporting. You’ll be reliable, safety-aware and comfortable working independently and as well as part of a wider team, especially during busy changeover periods. Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, accommodation, or hospitality is desirable but not essential. Essential Requirements · A team player who demonstrates kindness. · An eye for detail and pride in high standards Ability to follow cleaning, safety and hygiene procedures accurately. Good time-management skills and ability to work independently. A full UK driving license. Energy! This is a physically demanding role. Key Responsibilities Delivering linen, towels and supplies to accommodation units. Removing rubbish and recycling from accommodation areas. Stock control & ensuring storage areas are clean, well presented and running efficiently. Carrying out safety checks including smoke alarms, CO₂ detectors and fire safety equipment. Report maintenance issues, damaged items or equipment faults promptly. Follow all health & safety, COSHH, PPE and chemical-handling procedures at all times. Use cleaning equipment and machinery correctly in line with training. Work collaboratively with Maintenance and Guest Experience teams to support smooth operations. When necessary, assisting the cleaning team to clean caravans and lodges thoroughly in line with Unity Holidays’ housekeeping standards. Hours of Work Days of work will include Fridays, Mondays and some Saturdays.
