JOB DETAILS
This is a hands-on, fast-paced workshop role where precision, consistency, and technical curiosity matter. As a PDI Workshop Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring every device that leaves our workshop is fully built, configured, and ready to perform perfectly in a client environment.
You will take ownership of the full pre-delivery process - from unboxing through to final testing and preparation for dispatch. If you enjoy working with technology, solving practical challenges, and seeing tangible results from your work, this role offers a strong sense of achievement and impact.
What You Will Be Doing
* Assembling and preparing photocopiers and printers for deployment
* Installing peripherals and upgrading firmware
* Configuring devices to meet specific client requirements
* Completing system initialisation, calibration, and functional testing
* Applying manufacturer and Apogee settings
* Preparing devices safely for transportation
* Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
* Keeping the workshop organised, safe, and efficient
Hours: Mon to Fri 08:00 - 17:00 42.5 hours per week
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
* Experience in a hands-on, technical, mechanical, or production-based environment (for example workshop, assembly, IT hardware, or similar) OR demonstrable practical technical ability (such as building or repairing equipment)
* Comfortable using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
* Ability to follow technical processes accurately and consistently
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and right-first-time delivery
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
* Reliable, punctual, and able to manage workload effectively
