Job Description
This position is responsible for implementing the Quality Management System under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. The incumbent is responsible for project management, program launches, and working in conjunction with Applications Engineers, supplier development, and first article and source inspection.
Principle Responsibilities
1. Project Management: Ensure timely completion of all projects. Plan and organize projects using work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, and project plans. Track project status through regular meetings, document progress with Gantt charts, and report to the supervisor. Effectively address obstacles to maintain project progress.
2. Program Launches: Lead Advanced Quality Planning, collaborating with Application Engineers, Product, and Manufacturing Engineering in the development and launch of new programs. Utilize tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis, and Process Capability Studies.
3. RBC-API Supplier Development: Work with Purchasing to improve the capability and stability of RBC-API's supply base. Use PFMEA to enhance inspection effectiveness. Suggest and implement improvements to the supplier surveillance and auditing process, including flow-down of quality system and customer requirements.
4. First Article & Source Inspection: Refine processes to minimize errors and reduce the need for corrective actions.
5. Internal & External Quality Management System and Process Audits: Perform and document supplier surveillance through site audits of key suppliers and those not meeting performance targets. Collect data for scheduling, audit planning, and metrics analysis of quality performance.
6. Failure Analysis: Analyze customer rejections to identify root causes.
7. Troubleshooting: Address manufacturing or assembly non-conformances to resolve issues effectively.
