Join to apply for the Band 6 - Senior Radiographer, Radiology role at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a fixed term, full‑time position that involves working Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 pm, across our three sites: Watford, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead.
We have a well‑equipped Radiology department with six CT scanners, three MRI scanners, 10 DR mobile units, and 10 DR general rooms. Exciting developments are underway, including a new bespoke interventional suite at the Watford site to enhance fluoroscopy services and create opportunities for professional growth and role development. Our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in St Albans will expand capacity with additional CT, MRI, and plain film imaging.
We welcome applications from current Band 5 Radiographers and Band 6 Radiographers looking for a new opportunity. We offer a Trust Preceptorship programme and excellent education and career progression opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Being an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of imaging services to Radiologists and patients.
* Mentoring junior staff and students.
* Completing and recording QA testing.
* Following IRMER17 regulations whilst undertaking radiology examinations to a high standard.
Qualifications and requirements
* Candidates must be strong communicators who share our trust values.
* Proven ability to work within a Radiology team and maintain professional standards.
* Commitment to high quality imaging, QA processes, and regulatory compliance (IRMER17).
