Is your mind turning towards the end of education and towards a full-time career? Launch your Maths teaching career in the Midlands!

Do you enjoy problem-solving, explaining concepts clearly, and helping others gain confidence with numbers?

If Maths is your passion, we have the perfect teacher training opportunity for you.

The opportunity

Do you see teaching as more than just a job? At our Midlands secondary schools, we're looking for enthusiastic Maths graduates – or aspiring teachers with strong A-level Maths – who want to turn their love of the subject into a meaningful career.

We're seeking future teachers who can bring clarity, enthusiasm, and logical thinking to Maths lessons – from algebra and geometry to statistics and real-world applications.

Why choose us?

£22,761-£26,761 starting salary during your training year

PGCE + QTS qualification – gain both in just 12 months

Ofsted 'Outstanding' Teacher Training with a 95% success rate

Practical training model – focus on real classroom skills, not just academic theory

Modern Maths facilities with digital learning tools

Structured support from experienced Maths mentors

The school

Our Midlands-based secondary schools, located in Northampton, Nuneaton and Leicester, are well-regarded hubs for STEM education. With consistently strong results in Maths at GCSE and A-Level, we offer:

Strong departmental teamwork

Access to specialist Maths resources

Enrichment opportunities such as maths clubs, competitions, and intervention programmes

Training structure

4+1 Model: Train four days a week in school, with one day (Wednesdays) reserved for online PGCE study and professional development.

Sept–Dec: Observe lessons, team-teach with your mentor, build confidence

Jan–Mar: Lead planning and delivery of Maths lessons, develop assessment strategies

Apr–Jul: Teach independently, refine your classroom management, complete your PGCE + QTS

What you'll need

A degree in Maths or a related field (2:1 or higher preferred)

OR strong A-level Mathematics

Passion for Maths and education

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Commitment to learning and developing as a teacher

A driving licence is helpful but not essential – there are strong transport links to all schools
