We are excited to offer you the opportunity to work at The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford), Children’s and Young Persons Unit within the Emergency Department as a Band 6 Registered Children’s Nurse. We are a friendly team on a continuous improvement journey and are looking for the right candidates to join us.

* Skills training: venepuncture, cannulation, plaster training, Datix training
Responsibilities
* To function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area.
* To deliver direct patient care while coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
* To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
* To ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.
* To deputise for the ward/department manager in their absence, driving forward evidence-based practice and supervising staff and the policies and practices that operate within their clinical area.
* To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Registered Nurse with Band 6 level experience in paediatrics (Children’s Nurse) and suitable for the Emergency Department setting.
* Ability to work across site and participate in cross-site activity as required.
