We are looking for a motivated and confident full-time Senior Policy and Strategy Officer (Planning). This post is primarily concerned with carrying out the Council’s responsibility for the preparation and delivery of statutory Local Plans and other planning policy documents such as Supplementary Planning Documents and development briefs and advising and guiding on neighbourhood plans. The post holder will specialize in Spatial Policy and will have the opportunity to work across the other themes and on a range of corporate projects. The post-holder would be expected to contribute to the broad range of functions involved in developing and delivering the Local Plan and its associated functions and in addition would be expected to develop specialist skills in one or more areas which would enable to team to provide a comprehensive and professional range of skills aligned to national and local policy priorities.
