Civil Project Engineer vacancy in Athlone / North Tipperary. Our client is involved in the construction and maintenance of roads across the country. For this position, you will need 5+ years of experience in road maintenance or transport infrastructure.
Your New Role:
The Project Engineer will be involved in the planning, supervision, and delivery of Works Orders consisting of routine and non-routine maintenance on 343 structures on the National Road and Motorway Network. The engineer will ensure compliance with contract specifications and TII’s standards. Responsibilities include surveying and assessing network infrastructure, identifying defects, proposing improvements, monitoring health and safety standards, managing packages of work with labor and subcontractors, and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Responsibilities
* Site setting out and supervision
* Planning and coordinating gangs and subcontractors
* Quantifying and implementing project proposals
* Preparing budget estimates for the commercial team
* Building relationships with authorities, TII, emergency services, suppliers, and stakeholders
* Communicating with TII representatives regarding works and surveys
* Managing documentation such as RFIs, TQs, CVIs, Variation Orders
* Ensuring project delivery complies with standards and safety regulations
* Monitoring subcontractor performance and quality
* Maintaining records and safety documentation
* Reporting progress and issues to management
* Delivering projects within scope, time, and budget constraints
* Representing the company at meetings with stakeholders
