Responsibilities
* To provide support to the multi professional team by undertaking appropriate duties following assessment and planning of requirements by a registered nurse.
* Additionally to provide support by undertaking non nursing and ancillary duties.
* To communicate effectively with all members of the multi- disciplinary care team in order to promote positive working relationships.
* Maintain a standard of conduct and dress to sustain public confidence and promote the profile of health care employees
* Undertake tasks as deemed appropriate by the Registered Nurse/Associate practitioner.
* Provide care as directed by a registered nurse, recording actions in documentation.
* Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan.
* Support the registered nurse /associate practitioner in maintaining the smooth running of the clinics.
* Maintains effective communication with patients, carers, relatives and staff.
* Supporting of patients as they move from one setting to another.
* Chaperoning of patients as required.
* Establish and maintain good relationships with patients, carers and staff alike.
* Preparation of patients and treatment areas for direct care.
