Your new school is a large secondary school with academy status located in central Blackburn. The school is coeducational and caters for pupils aged 11-16. The school has consistently been graded as Outstanding in all areas by OFSTED and as a result, has established an excellent reputation in the localmunity. There is an extremely supportive senior leadership team throughout school with a clear vision towards achieving the very best oues for their pupils. Your new role
Joining a high achieving department, you will be responsible for teachingputing to KS4. The role is tomence from September 2025 and will operate, full time, on a temporary basis for a minimum of one term. The post is then to be advertised, so there is scope for a permanent position should that be of interest. As the role is long term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons whilst differentiating in pupil ability. You will also be required to mark and assess all work ensuring that pupils are progressing in line with their target grades.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, it is essential that you hold a teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS or PGCE and have experience of teachingputing to KS4. You must be able tomence the role from September 2025 and be able tomit to the full duration of the assignment.
