Job Title: Clinician Lead - Therapeutic Community
Ash Eton Therapeutic Community in Folkestone is seeking a passionate and experienced Psychotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, or Counselling Psychologist with management experience. This role combines direct therapeutic work with service improvement and team leadership.
About the Service
The service provides specialist treatment to adults with complex emotional difficulties within a supportive and innovative therapeutic community setting. It is part of the Community of Communities, recognized for excellence in mental health care.
Candidate Profile
* Professionally qualified and registered therapist
* Extensive experience in mental health psychotherapy, especially group work with adults with complex personality disorders
* Proven team leadership skills
* Experience in therapeutic community settings and/or service development using co-production (highly desirable)
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary therapy team
2. Ensuring high standards of service quality and performance
3. Overseeing referrals and patient flow through treatment phases
4. Advising Community Mental Health Teams, providing supervision and case consultations
5. Conducting assessments and leading psychodynamic psychotherapy groups
6. Facilitating small group psychotherapy within the TC and participating in community meetings
7. Developing co-produced training and lecturing opportunities
8. Upholding relational practice values, including co-production and inclusivity
9. Managing complex team and community dynamics, including transference processes
10. Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs and risks
11. Organising and prioritising workload to maintain quality
12. Deputising for the clinical lead and supporting operational activities
