What will the HR Assistant role involve?
* Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including liaising with recruitment agencies, preparing documentation, and supporting new starter inductions.
* Overseeing staff training programmes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with budget and approval procedures.
* Supporting HR meetings by taking detailed notes and assisting with administration of employee records, reports, and HR database updates.
* Administering employee lifecycle processes, including absence management, performance reviews, and leaver procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies, contributing to the firm’s ongoing commitment to quality and integrity.
Suitable Candidate for the HR Assistant vacancy
* Proven experience in HR administration or co-ordination within education, an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues at all levels.
* Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and relevant compliance standards.
* Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Additional benefits and information for the role of HR Assistant
* £30,000 - £35,000 salary (pro rata) depending on experience.
* Flexible part-time hours, with work aligned to school hours (approx. 5 hours daily).
