Lunchtime Play Worker

6.25 hours per week, term time only contract (38 weeks)

We are currently seeking three play workers for our vibrant and dynamic 2-form entry Church of England school in the heart of the local community. With a clear vision of igniting passion, empowering learners and transforming the future, we are committed to providing an exceptional education to all of our pupils.

The successful candidates will have a passion for education and a strong commitment to the personal development of pupils. We are looking for candidates who are not afraid to make mistakes, who are committed to doing what is best for their children in their care. We firmly believe as Ken Robinson said, "Childhood is not a rehearsal," therefore every single moment matters and we must get it right.

At St James's we operate the OPAL Primary Programme which covers outdoor play and learning. OPAL is all about using naturally and man-made resources to allow children to be inspired and creative at playtime.OPAL schools rapidly develop creativity, imagination, cooperation, resilience, stamina and confidence.
