About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic SEN Teacher who wants more than just a teaching role — someone ready to transform lives, inspire confidence and create meaningful learning experiences for pupils with autism and complex needs. This is your chance to be part of a school at the very beginning of its journey — helping shape a culture where every child is seen, supported and celebrated.
As an SEN Teacher, you’ll bring creativity, care and innovation into every lesson — designing learning that is tailored, engaging and impactful. You’ll work in a supportive, collaborative environment alongside skilled professionals, using high-quality resources to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
No two days are the same — but every day is an opportunity to make a difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual needs
2. Using creative and innovative approaches to build confidence, curiosity and independence
3. Assessing progress across academic, social and emotional development
4. Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
5. Building strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals
6. Working collaboratively to provide a holistic, consistent approach to learning
About You
You are someone who brings energy, empathy and adaptability to your teaching practice.
You will have:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree
8. Strong experience or understanding of SEN, including ASC and complex needs
9. A compassionate, resilient approach to supporting pupils
10. Excellent communication and teamworking skills
11. Creativity and flexibility to adapt teaching to individual learners
This is your chance to join a school at its very beginning, make a lasting impact, and enjoy a better work/life balance. Apply today and help shape the future of Hemlock Stone School.
