Clinical Endoscopist – Band 7

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and autonomous Dual Modality Clinical Endoscopist to join our highly regarded JAG accredited Endoscopy service across our South Bank hospital sites - Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital and Scunthorpe General Hospital.
This 30-hour position offers the opportunity to join a small, experienced and supportive team of four Clinical Endoscopists, including three Clinical Endoscopists and one Lead Clinical Endoscopist, within a department that truly values flexibility and work‑life balance.
As an autonomous practitioner, you will independently deliver Upper and Lower GI endoscopy procedures, contributing to safe, effective and high‑quality patient care across the service.
Main duties of the job
* Independently undertake Upper and Lower GI endoscopy lists across Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust sites, primarily Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
* Provide expert clinical leadership and act as a specialist resource within the Endoscopy service.
* Support the continued development and maintenance of the departments JAG accredited status.
* Contribute to service development, policy implementation, governance and quality improvement initiatives.
* Participate in audit, safety monitoring, outcomes analysis and clinical effectiveness programmes.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient‑centred care and service delivery.
* Support education, mentorship and development of colleagues, trainees and members of the wider MDT.
* Promote evidence‑based practice in line with national guidance including JAG, BSG and NICE standards.
