Corporate Property Manager
Location: West Midlands
Our client, a local authority in the West Midlands, is seeking a Corporate Property Manager to develop an effective Corporate Landlord service. The role involves drafting a new Asset Management Strategy and embedding a comprehensive corporate property support service across the council.
Main Purpose of the Job
* Develop and implement the Corporate Asset Management Plan and Energy Management function.
* Provide professional advice on the strategic management of the council’s corporate land, estate, property, buildings, and energy usage.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Offer professional and technical advice on the strategic management of corporate assets, property, and buildings.
* Lead the Corporate Property Group, overseeing project management and implementation.
* Ensure efficient management of the council’s land and property assets to meet departmental and corporate objectives.
* Develop, maintain, and implement the Council’s Asset Management Strategy and delivery plan.
* Manage external procurement for rent reviews, maintenance programs, and property valuations.
* Identify opportunities to maximize benefits from the council's property assets through negotiations and problem resolution.
* Liaise effectively with all council sections, particularly regarding major projects, land development, asset acquisition, and disposal.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant degree and professional qualifications in property management or related field.
* Extensive experience in corporate property management and asset strategy development.
* Strong understanding of property legislation, regulations, and best practices.
* Proven track record in project management and procurement processes.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
