Senior Power BI Developer

G.Digital are partnering with a growing organisation in West Yorkshire that’s investing heavily in its data and analytics capability. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for a Senior Power BI Analyst who wants to go beyond dashboards and play a key role in how data drives decision‑making across the business.
You’ll report directly into the Data Director and have clear progression towards a Head of BI / Head of Analytics role over time. This is a hands‑on senior role with influence, ownership, and visibility.
What you’ll be doing:
✅ Leading the development of insight‑led Power BI dashboards (this is not just a BI dev role)
✅ Migrating reporting from Tableau and Excel into Power BI
✅ Working closely with senior stakeholders to define metrics and shape analytics strategy
✅ Collaborating with engineers on data modelling and Power BI consumption
✅ Improving data definitions and data dictionaries across teams
✅ Supporting Internal & External dashboards (experience helpful, not essential)
✅ Mentoring and supporting a small data team, while remaining 80‑90% hands‑on
What you’ll bring:
✔️ Proven experience in a Senior BI / Senior Analytics role with clear ownership of outcomes
✔️ Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data structures and analytics architecture
✔️ Experience leading analytics initiatives end‑to‑end, from problem definition to insight adoption
✔️ Confidence working with and challenging senior stakeholders to drive better decisions
✔️ Team/Individual mentorship and Leadership experience
✔️ A strong commercial mindset, focused on value, impact, and action, not just reporting
✔️ Exposure to modern cloud data platforms (Azure / Fabric experience is a bonus)
