The salary advertised is for a full-time position (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £17.04 - £18.45
This is a 39-week sessional post, meaning working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, hours between 08:30 and 16:30, to be confirmed. Starting August 2025.
We are seeking an experienced practitioner to join our team at St Gabriel's Nursery, which includes 2 Senior Early Years Practitioners, 6 Early Years Practitioners, 2 ASN Auxiliaries, and 2 Early Years Support Workers. The goal is to deliver a high-quality, child-centered service that meets the needs of children and their families.
Previous experience working with early years children is required, as 1:1 working and personal care will be part of this role.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
You must have an HNC in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent. You should also demonstrate ongoing learning and knowledge of current practices and legislation related to Early Learning and Childcare.
SSSC registration
SSSC registration is mandatory. If not already registered, you must apply within 3 months of starting, to ensure registration within 6 months.
PVG Membership
This role is considered a Regulated Role involving vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as per the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
All preferred candidates must become a PVG Scheme member or update their existing membership before an offer of employment is made.
Note: PVG records are regularly updated. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed and investigated before employment is confirmed.
