CNC Setter/Operator
As part of our team, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-precision components for critical industries such as nuclear, defence, and oil and gas.

You will be setting and operating CNC lathes using 2 and 3 axis Fanuc controls.
You may be working on conventional CNCs, twin-spindle and twin-turret Doosan s, Biglia s, and sliding head machines, machines that are maintained properly, with everything you need to do a good job.
As a CNC Setter Operator, you will be involved from the start of the job by:
* Completing full machine set-ups on various types and sizes of machines.
* Working with exotic materials.
* Editing programmes when needed.
* Checking everything is to the required standard.
There is a team of engineers and programmers around you, but you will be trusted to get on with things and do them properly.
You will be working alongside a steady, highly skilled team who know their machines and care about doing things properly.

Fixed days and night shifts are available. The hours and benefits include:
Nights
* An hourly rate of between GBP14 - GBP16 plus GBP4.75 per hour shift allowance.
* Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am (finishing Friday morning at 6am).
* Overtime available at time and a half and double time.

Setter operators need to be competent in reading drawings and using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, thread micrometers, callipers, gauges, and ring gauges, working to tight tolerances and working closely with inspection.
