What does a Cover Supervisor do? * Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly * Deliver pre-prepared work and keep pupils focused and engaged * Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies * Provide support and guidance where needed, helping pupils stay on track * Be a positive role model, creating a calm and productive learning environment The Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Attend local primary & secondary schools in the Guildford, Surrey GU5 area to cover lessons for absent teachers. Deliver pre-prepared work to classes and take registers. Manage behaviour and ensure a safe, calm learning environment. Maintain school policies and support pupils throughout the day Step confidently into different classrooms and year groups You won’t be expected to plan lessons, mark work, or have prior teaching experience — although any experience working with young people is highly desirable.
