GSL Education are looking for a patient, compassionate, and proactive Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs across schools in Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping students overcome challenges and build confidence, resilience, and independence.
What to Expect in This SEMH TA Role:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Assist in classroom activities and adapt tasks to meet individual emotional and learning needs.
* Support students with behaviour management, focus, and engagement.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement personalised support plans.
* Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements for This Role:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable.
* Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Confident, proactive, and adaptable in challenging situations.
* Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
