As our Roadside Recovery Driver, you’ll go the extra mile for our customers.

You’ll use your technical skills to load vehicles onto your truck and get the vehicle and customer to a garage or their destination for repair or assistance.
What will I be doing?
* A communicator: You’re great with customers, the calming influence, reassuring and professional in all situations, ensuring the customer feels safe and that their needs are being taken care of.
* A self-starter: You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, driving to different locations in all weathers.
* A fixer/problem solver: You’ll thrive in all situations, using your expertise to solve a variety of issues.
What do I need?
* Live within 25 miles or 1 hour travel from the depot (postcode included in advert).
* A full driving category C licence (HGV 2). Ideally CE (HGV 1) licence as well, though not essential as support is available.
* Driver CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
* Comfort with adapting to new technology; training will be provided.
* Willingness to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Salary and Benefits
* On Target Earnings: £41,000 for CE licence, and £35,000 for C licence (as described).
* Salary: Guaranteed minimum c. £33,862 for CE (HGV 1) license, £30,490 for C (HGV 2) license.
* Depot Postcode: DL6 2PJ.
* Shifts: Rolling rota, typically 18 out of 28 days with 2 weekends off. Standard shifts are 9 hours 45 mins (including a 45 min break); end-of-shift flexibility may require up to 12 hours in a shift including break.
* Full uniform, boots and equipment provided.
* Free breakdown cover from day one.
* Holidays: Equivalent of 23 days (increases with service).
* Company pension contribution up to 7%.
