Support students funded by Student Loans and sponsors in a fast‑moving, high‑impact role. This year, we're streamlining processes to drive real change.
About the Role
Under the direction of the Student Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the Student Loans Company (SLC) and Student Information System (SIS), ensuring records are accurate and up to date. You’ll also support invoicing processes and provide assurance that reporting is completed on time and in line with contract terms.
This role plays a key part in supporting both student and external customer administration. You’ll ensure timely receipt of SLC income, resolve queries to minimise bad debt, and uphold Student Finance regulations and service standards. You’ll represent the team at University events such as Open Days, Welcome Week, and Student Finance Clinics.
You’ll assist with month‑end close activities, reconcile the SLC ledger and other accounts, and support both internal and external audits. Part of your responsibility will include identifying and flagging any financial risks, including potential fraud or money laundering.
Finally, you’ll contribute to ongoing process improvements by reviewing current practices and recommending best approaches. You’ll also manage system testing for new features or upgrades and stay informed of policy changes that impact student finance, registration, and funding.
