Support Worker – SEN Setting
Location: North London (N17)
Pay: £101.40 – £115 per day
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
About the Role:
We are working with a specialist SEN provision that supports children and young people with a range of complex medical, physical, and learning needs.
Many of the pupils are non-verbal, require wheelchair assistance, and benefit from a structured, nurturing, and calm learning environment.
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide consistent care, encouragement, and tailored learning support to pupils who thrive on routine and patience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and communication difficulties
* Assist with feeding, wheelchair mobility, and personal care (training provided)
* Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through structured activities
* Support teachers and therapists in delivering individual learning and sensory plans
* Promote independence, engagement, and confidence through positive reinforcement
* Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment at all times
Requirements:
* Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or SEN Teaching Assistant (school or residential experience welcome)
* Understanding of complex SEN or PMLD needs
* Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines
* Calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, term-time only)
