Shaw Education Trust is seeking an outstanding Deputy National Director of Special's to join our education leadership team. This is a pivotal role focused on our specialist (SEN) schools, working across the Trust to ensure every child receives exceptional education and care tailored to their individual needs. Our family of specialist settings supports pupils with a broad range of complex needs. As we continue to grow and develop our provision, we are looking for a leader who shares our vision of ensuring that all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities achieve and flourish. Key Responsibilities will include: Provide high-impact strategic leadership across our SEN schools, ensuring consistently excellent, research-informed provision that improves life outcomes for pupils with complex needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic and operational plans for SEND and inclusion within our specialist settings. Embed a culture of continuous improvement, ambition, and best practice across all areas. Forge and maintain effective relationships with local authorities and partner agencies to shape provision, secure appropriate funding, and advocate for the best possible outcomes for all learners. Promote a Trust-wide culture where every pupil is supported to succeed, no matter their starting point. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership at trust level within special education, with a deep understanding of the needs of pupils in SEN settings, experience developing and sustaining outstanding provision for pupils with complex and diverse needs and possess strong partnership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with local authorities and other key stakeholders.
