SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Salary: £100 - £115 per day
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support young people with special educational needs in a caring and inclusive environment?
Aspire People is currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced school in the Salford area, who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This supportive and inclusive school provides education for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The staff team is highly experienced and passionate about creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
With small class sizes and a strong team ethos, the school places a high value on positive relationships, consistency, and promoting independence in every pupil. You will be working alongside skilled teachers and support staff, contributing to a positive and purposeful learning experience.
Your Role:
-Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
-Assist the class teacher with planning, resources, and classroom management
-Implement individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies
-Help create a calm, nurturing classroom environment
-Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, parents, and outside professionals
About You:
-Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
-Calm, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills
-Confident in managing challenging behaviours in a positive, proactive way
-A team player with a genuine passion for supporting young people
-Relevant qualifications or training (, Autism Awareness) are desirable but not essential
