VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading software business based in Belfast City Centre who are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team, initially on a 6 month contract basis with potential for permanency for the right candidate.
The Ideal Person
* Third level education, part-qualified accountant or IATI qualified
* Proven experience in a similar role
* 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Responsibilities
As Finance Associate you will:
* Support the Management Accountant in the management of the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including invoicing, accounts payable, banking and other transactions.
* Assist with the management of the Companys Ledgers.
* Assist with statutory and external audits.
* Deal with finance queries and ad hoc duties.
* Assist with Month end balance sheet reconciliations/report preparations.
* Credit control activities.
* Collate purchase requisitions from team and place orders when necessary - Process monthly expenses.
* Organise operational events and activities when necessary.
* Provide general office management and administrative support such as hosting visitors, travel, hotel and entertainment bookings, maintaining office supplies etc.
* Any other administrative/project work as required.
