Maintenance Support – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Support professional in Luton to maintain and repair multiple properties across a group of companies; in this role, you will complete repairs, manage site upkeep and ensure every building operates safely and efficiently.
Location: Luton (3 days office-based, 2 days on-site property assessments)
Salary: £27, – £35, per annum + Benefits
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out routine maintenance and property inspections; therefore, you prevent issues before they escalate
2. Complete general repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing and decorating
3. Respond quickly to maintenance requests so properties remain operational
4. Record all maintenance tasks accurately to maintain a clear service history
5. Conduct monthly health and safety audits to ensure compliance
6. Carry out internal and external window cleaning in line with health and safety guidelines
7. Maintain grounds by mowing, pruning, weeding and caring for flower beds
8. Manage deliveries and incoming post efficiently
9. Drive the company minibus when required
10. Work collaboratively with colleagues to prioritise and schedule maintenance tasks
Essential Skills & Experience
11. Proven experience in general property maintenance
12. Practical skills in carpentry, plumbing and basic building repairs
13. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
14. Full UK driving licence (essential)
15. Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the wider team
16. Good understanding of health and safety standards
