About the Team:

We are a Family Help Team working with a range of families including those needing Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until a permanency plan outside of their parents’ care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi-agency with Family Support Workers, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO(s) and NHS Nurse, all working together to meet the holistic needs of our families to reduce risk and keep families together.

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Social Worker in our Assessment Team covering Nuneaton & Bedworth on a full-time/permanent basis. The Family Help team are based at The Hilary Road Centre, Hilary Road, Nuneaton.

As part of the market supplement:

Experienced Social Worker - Grade J, K, L, N: Up to £51,726.00 per annum. Includes a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement (subject to pension, tax and NI deductions – Terms & Conditions apply). Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 may be available if policy criteria are met.

Key Requirements

Working hours – 37 hours per week, with agile and flexible working options generally from 9:00 to 17:30 (Mon–Thu) and 9:00 to 17:00 on Fridays.

Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.

* Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work CQSW).
* In-depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make well-informed decisions.
* Ability to record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports.
* Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with children and families.
