Job Description
3. Levels of 5S are adhered to, both workshop and machines
4. Ensuring the PPM schedule is adhered to.
5. Working with Production to fully understand the manufacturing plans and being able to action those plans accordingly.
6. Responsible for supporting all engineering breakdowns, diagnosing faults as soon as possible and replacement of machine parts
7. Rectifying all hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical issues
8. Enhancing, repairing and maintaining all the Plant, Equipment and Services within the manufacturing facility as per the preventative maintenance schedule and updating the maintenance log
9. Assisting with the installation and commission of new machinery and equipment with the support of specialist Tool Room Engineers
10. Involvement with improvement projects during planned downtime and identifying engineering solutions to maximise efficiency of the plant
11. To maintain a relationship with appropriate plant and services contractors/ suppliers and arrange for such suppliers to undertake the engineering works that are required through breakdowns, maintenance and project/ enhancement work
12. To organise and maintain the technical database
13. Order spares / consumables required to support the engineering activities that will be undertaken in house or by a contracted company
14. Work closely with Production, Tool Change and Tool Room teams to effectively achieve the required engineering outcome
15. Operate within key Engineering and Health & Safety codes
16. Any other tasks as requested by Management
17. Targets: Number of T Cards or equivalent system closed to target, scrap below set target, minimal machine downtime, planned maintenance and project work to be completed in cost and on time.
INITIALLY A DAYS BASED POSITIONMOVING TO PANANA SHIFT (2'S & 3'S)
The Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer, ideally from a manufacturing background & should have the following:
18. Minimum Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Electrical or Maintenance Engineering (or Apprentice trained mechatronic)
19. 18th Edition
20. Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance - hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical & mechanical systems
21. Can read electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic drawings
22. Understanding of H&S processes and safe methods of working
23. A Desirable - Plastic Injection Moulding experience
