Were recruiting on behalf of a world-renowned Institute in Cambridge thats seeking a dedicated Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, youll support the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, championing exceptional customer service, and leading a motivated team in delivering an outstanding guest experience.
The Opportunity:
As Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you'll play an integral part in both strategic planning and hands-on service delivery. You'll work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure every aspect of the food and beverage operation exceeds expectationswhile also maintaining high standards in food hygiene, safety, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example in providing world-class service across all F&B operations
Assist in planning and managing food & beverage service to maximise efficiency and satisfaction
Support and train the F&B team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality standards
Ensure all operations comply with current health, safety and licensing legislation
Manage stock control and ordering of beer, wine, and spirits
Oversee departmental rosters and payroll preparation
Actively drive F&B sales and promotions throughout the venue
Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and institute-wide initiatives
About You:

What Youll Need:
Essential:
Previous hospitality/customer service experience (ideally in a hotel or academic institution)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Organised, detail-focused, and calm under pressure
Sound Microsoft Office skills
Desirable:
First Aid qualification
Personal licence (APLH)
Level 2 Food Safety (or higher)
