Job - Motor Vehicle Technician (Permanent) - 21.6 hrs per week (Part-time)
Salary: £15,000 - £15,420 per annum (based on FTE £(phone number removed))
Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Location: Broxbourne Campus (Flexible on days/hours)
Closing Date: 29th April @ Midday
We are looking for a Motor Vehicle technician to provide support for the Department for STEM within the area of Motor Vehicle and Construction as and when needed. Maintaining health and safety of the department and supporting the teaching team to ensure workshops area professional working space.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a safe working environment while students are within the Motor Vehicle area, and in Construction as and when needed.
* Support the carrying out of safety checks on a regular basis and keep appropriate records.
* Support the upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
* Ensure unserviceable equipment is removed from use and repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.
* Assist the teaching staff by preparing the workshops in accordance with their requirements.
Qualifications
* Minimum L2 qualification in Motor Vehicle.
* Minimum L2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
* Ability to inspire, engage and support young people.
* Work experience in the Motor Vehicle industry.
