Overview
Meddygfa Emlyn is looking for a Practice Receptionist to work with us for a fixed term of 6 months to cover maternity leave. Good communication skills required.
Responsibilities
* Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
* Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
* Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
* Provide general clerical support to the practice manager, doctors and health professionals.
Qualifications / Skills
* IT skills an advantage, however full training will be provided.
* Welsh speaking desirable but not essential.
* Good communication skills are required.
About the Practice
Friendly Practice located in the rural area of Newcastle Emlyn. We are a partnership of five doctors together with 3 salaried doctors, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and a full health care team of practice nurses, community nurses, pharmacist, health visitor and midwives, assisted by our administrative staff.
