Overview
Oracle ERP Test Manager at Version 1, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. This role leads Oracle ERP testing across high-impact Oracle Cloud projects, owning the testing lifecycle from strategy and planning to execution and reporting. You will lead hybrid teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and coordinate upstream and downstream systems.
Responsibilities
* End-to-end test management
* Develop test strategy, support test planning and scripting best practices
* Design and execute tests with reporting and defect logging; coordinate testing across upstream and downstream systems
* Manage a hybrid team of test analysts and client end users/subject matter experts
* Work independently and remotely, with travel to client engagements as needed
Key Responsibilities
* Create test strategy and test plans
* Coordinate defect triage meetings
* Oversee risk management, mitigation, and client communication
* Develop test plans and schedules aligned with project timelines
* Coach teams in test scripting best practices
* Familiarity with automated testing solutions
* Review test artefacts (test scripts, logs, defect logs, test summary)
* Coordinate SIT/UAT planning and execution with SIT/UAT leads
* Staff projects with Version 1 resources, manage client and third-party activities for on-time delivery
* Adhere to Version 1 standards and policies
Additional Responsibilities
* Oversee the training of colleagues and keeping product knowledge current
* Define performance indicators/targets
* Maintain high customer satisfaction (internal and external)
* Deliver all project activities efficiently within recognised project methodology
* Meet quarterly objectives set during appraisals
Qualifications
* Experience in test management and defect management
* Oracle testing experience across implementations/upgrades, with knowledge of multiple ERP/HCM modules and at least one full upgrade or implementation project testing lifecycle
* Problem-solving ability
* Innovative thinking; ability to turn customer requirements into workable solutions
* Methodical, thorough, and well-organised with strong analytical skills
* Time management skills; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
