Are you a meticulous and analytical professional with a passion for laboratory work? Join our team as a Laboratory Technician in a fast paced environment. Contribute to our success by performing detailed analysis on oil, fuel, and coolant samples using a variety of manual and automated techniques.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Sample Analysis: Perform analyses on batches of oil, fuel, and coolant samples using techniques such as ICP-OES, Head Space GC FID/TCD, GC-FID, FTIR, XRF, Karl Fischer, autotitrators, discrete analyser, automated liquid handling equipment, viscosity and wet chemistry
* Sample Preparation: Sort and prepare samples into batches, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Process Improvement: Investigate and implement new laboratory process improvements as directed by the Analytical Services Supervisor.
* Data Management: Accurately enter sample data and results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
* Document Management: Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards as assigned by the Supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant industrial laboratory experience OR qualified to at least degree level in a scientific discipline.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in various laboratory techniques and equipment.
* Good understanding of COSHH, Laboratory H&S practices and GLP.
* Excellent attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
* Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
* Good communication skills
