Your new roleYou will take full responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering high-quality teaching across the curriculum and preparing pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2. The role includes:
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
* Assessing progress and supporting pupils to meet age-related expectations
* Working closely with the KS1 team to share ideas and best practice
* Creating a warm, structured classroom environment where children feel safe and motivated
* Building strong relationships with parents and carers
What you'll need to succeedThe school is seeking a teacher who brings energy, warmth, and a genuine passion for KS1 learning. You will need:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
* A reflective, proactive approach to teaching
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
