About the role
* Support the Head Chef as well as kitchen assistant duties
* Supervise the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
* Prepare and cook food for presentation to the service users
* Assist the Head Chef in the planning of menus to achieve and maintain budgeted food costs
* Carry out stocktaking and food rotation procedures under the instruction of the Head Chef
* Comply with statutory regulations concerning food hygiene, COSHH and Health and Safety at Work
There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.
